The Montfort medical Clinic offers a variety of services to its community, such as family medicine, pediatric follow-ups, pregnancy follow-ups and palliative care. The dedicated team who runs the clinic also offers at-home care services to patients

To reduce its carbon footprint, the Montfort medical clinic replaced the natural gas heating and cooling system with a geothermal system, and improved the energy efficiency of the insulation and the windows of the building.

The Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière College is a private school founded in 1827.

Their efforts in sustainable development echoes in the La Pocatière region, as several organizations are deciding to follow suit to help build a greener community.

9 schools, under the management of the Laurentides school board, took concrete actions to reduce their carbon footprint by installing geothermal wells, aerothermal heat pumps as well as automating and optimizing the system and equipment in place.

The MRC of Témiscamingue regroups 19 municipalities

Its Ecocentre is an integral part of the Centre de valorisation du Témiscamingue (CVT), where residual waste is transported, recovered, recycled and composted.

The recovery of urban biomass, the composting of organic waste as well as the recycling of paper and cardboard ensures a better management of residual materials allowing a significant reduction of GHG emissions on the territory of the MRC.

The UPA Federation of Mauricie is an organization representing 1,500 agricultural producers in the Mauricie region.

The project of the UPA of Mauricie aims to encourage citizens to bring their autumn leaves and other green residues to an agricultural business so they can be reused as compost. This project helps reduce GHG emissions associated with landfilling while improving the health of agricultural soils.

Mr. John Arsenault and his partners installed solar panels on their building located on Île du Havre aux Maisons. This allowed solar energy to replace the electricity that, on the Magdalen Islands, is currently produced with heavy fuel oil.

The municipality of Causapscal is located in the Lower SaintLawrence region. The main economic activities of the municipality include tourism, agriculture and forestry.

The municipality has implemented a biomass heat network connecting 7 buildings. The main objective of this project was to replace fuel oil as an energy source for heating in order to reduce GHG emissions. This project also aimed to develop the local economy and stimulate job creation.

Recyc PHP specializes in the treatment and recovery of industrial waste hygiene products. They use an innovative process that allows the separation of components such as cellulosic fibers, superabsorbent polymers and plastic films.

Recyc PHP receives raw materials from their suppliers to valorize them, and then sell them to companies that specialize in the manufacturing of plastic parts. This allows GHG emissions related to landfill to be avoided.
